The major reason for not playing any match of PSL Season 9 in Peshawar has come to light.
No match will take place in Peshawar for ninth edition of the Pakistan Super League as reported by Express News. The Arbab Niaz Cricket Stadium expansion project, which began in 2018, has unfortunately not been completed this year.
Consequently, the stadium management has expressed their apologies for not being able to host PSL matches. However, they have made a fresh promise to have the stadium fully prepared by September of next year.
It is disheartening to note that during the previous PTI regime, there were announcements made for hosting the seventh and eighth editions of PSL, yet this project has turned into a burdensome endeavor.
Ultimately, the non-completion of the stadium project has resulted in Peshawar being unable to host any PSL matches.
